The story of the surviving pet whose descendants embody its owner’s heroic spirit definitely ain’t exclusive to Spanish-colonial historical myth. You find it all over anglo US pop-cultural-historical myth, too. Go to Graceland and check out the horses — children of the noble steeds who once creaked under the weight of the king. They probably feed them fried peanut-butter-and-banana sammitches every saturday night just to keep them TCB. And of course, Hemingway was survived by his polydactyl cat. The day after the suicide, one of Papa’s housekeepers caught the despondent little critter trying to shoot itself in the head too. But she bravely grabbed the shotgun from its six-toed paws. And to this day, that cat’s descendants stink up the Hemingway House Museum in Key West. Seriously, there are like sixty of them. They have an endorsement deal with some flea and tick medicine. I bet some astute commercial agent could round up a couple dozen of los hijos de LeonChico and get them a nice fat contract with Iams or Eukanuba.

Minor award to McPaul: first use of the word polydactl in WRI history!

Would the award be any bigger for a woman who was chased by “polydactyled”(6 fingered feet) admirer in Frankfurt and (with huge difficulties though, he was a former policeman) even managed to escape him? If so, I would like to place the entry…

    And:
there s plenty famous Slovenes out there who made a big impact to the world, even an impact to the outer space (if not else by carrying our delicious Kranjska sausage to the universe by a shuttle); you just do not know they are Slovenes. Scientists, astronauts, painters, musicians, actors,…
Donald Trump s chick for instance – she is Slovene, we even went to the same school in eighties… Probably Donald sang a grammy winning Frank Jankovic s “Just because you think you re so pretty” to her first time they ve met, not even knowing this is an original slovene polka song:

What I am trying to say is that we are talented and capable enough to find some undiscovered cultures or at least very special individuals in Europe or anywhere we go…. With board or no board on our (6 fingered) feet…
