Apropos of Indian casinos–or tangentially off Indian casinos–I talked to a guy recently who’s independently wealthy from being a member of an Indian tribe that owns a casino. He’s gay, and he told me that his tribe at least is very accepting of homosexuality. Perhaps for the next go-round on 8 we’ll see some native American support for our gay brothers and sisters? They’ve got the casino ca$h.
If Marc had his own microcountry, and he named it Hornland, wouldn’t everyone from there be Hornish?

Wasn’t there another WRI about small fake nations? I seem to remember something involving an invasion and a manx cat, but I can’t put my clicker on it.
Also – Whale Wars on animal planet seems like a show well suited to WRI discussion – as it involves dodgy interpretations of nautical law, vegan piracy, and reality tv.
Alex, so maybe small nations are a bit of an obsession. Is that a problem? I guess potentially, given that our interests are supposed to range widely…
Supposedly you can have your own micronation just by planting a flag. You guys have a flag, right? RIGHT?
Funny you should ask. We HAD a flag all set to go. Then we learned that the colors of the Olympic Rings are designed to include at least one color from every flag in the world.
Naturally, we perceive this as a challenge, and we are currently working on an Olympic-friendly flag. In the meantime, please look for the now-outdated Purple and Pink WRI flag at a Salvation Army near you!
Of course we will always fly our freak flag.
How soon after you two founded your own nation would you collapse into civil war. I fear it would be much too soon, which is why I strongly encourage your pursuit of it IMMEDIATELY!
